Missing Players and team news:

Nathan Ake’s return to training means Pep Guardiola has a full squad to select from for the welcome of Gladbach. After using a three-man defence against Fulham, Guardiola may revert to a 4-3-3 setup here. Aymeric Laporte should start alongside Ruben Dias as a result, with John Stones the man to make way, while Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling should all return to the side. Ramy Bensebaini and Chrisoph Kramer are both doubts for Gladbach ahead of their testing trip to Manchester. The latter’s potential absence should see Denis Zakaria start alongside Florian Neuhaus in a 4-2-3-1 after Marco Rose used a 4-3-3 in the first leg. Oscar Wendt, meanwhile, is expected to deputise for Bensebaini should he fail to recover in time.
