Mouctar Diakhaby is expected to be okay to start for Valencia after being involved in a racial abuse controversy last weekend against Cadiz. Maxi Gomez is a doubt for the hosts with a knee problem, so Kevin Gameiro is expected to come into the forward line. Goncalo Guedes should be fit to partner Gameiro up top after a knock, while Denis Cheryshev should start on the left wing. Igor Zubeldia and Martin Zubimendi are both sidelined due to suspension this weekend, adding to Real Sociedad midfield selection concerns. Mikel Merino has a back problem, while Jon Guridi is also a doubt. David Silva and Asier Illarramendi have already both been on the treatment table for a week.
