Missing Players and team news:

Pep Guardiola will make changes from the side that slipped to a surprise 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Sunday. Kevin De Bruyne is taking his time to rediscover his best form after recovering from injury and largely struggled in the derby. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him benched here. Phil Foden, Aymeric Laporte, Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva will almost certainly return to the starting XI against Southampton. Fernandinho is also an option here. Sergio Aguero didn’t make it off the bench against United but should feature in some capacity on Wednesday. Southampton recovered Takumi Minamino, Ibrahima Diallo and Kyle Walker-Peters from injury at the weekend in a massive boost for the club. Unfortunately for Southampton, Danny Ings may not play again this month after suffering a muscle injury in his leg against Sheffield United. Fraser Forster appears set for a run in the first-team after a series of sub-par displays from Alex McCarthy of late. Nathan Tella deserves to keep his place in the side after a bright display against Sheffield United.
