Missing Players and team news:
John Stones will rotate back into the side at Aymeric Laporte’s expense from the side that beat Wolves 4-1 on Tuesday. Oleksandar Zinchenko will hope for a recall but with enough time between matches Kyle Walker may keep his place in the side here. Gabriel Jesus scored twice in midweek but even that may not be enough to secure a start in the derby. A well-rested Phil Foden should return to the fold here after only managing 25 minutes across City’s last two games. Raheem Sterling is an automatic starter, even though his record against Manchester United is remarkably poor, leaving Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva to fight for the final spot in attack. Pep Guardiola has confirmed Nathan Ake is back available for the home side. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed David de Gea has returned to Spain for the birth of his first child, with Dean Henderson now set for a run in the side. Scott McTominay and Victor Lindelof will return to the starting XI on Sunday, while Daniel James will likely reclaim his starting spot as well. Paul Pogba, Phil Jones and Juan Mata are ruled out, while Anthony Martial is a doubt with a slight knee injury sustained in training on Monday.
