Missing Players and team news:
Jogi Loew begins his final few games as Germany head coach when Die Mannschaft take on Iceland this week. Thomas Muller was left out of the squad, which hasn’t appeased supporters, but Jamal Musiala has been included after he pledged his allegiance to Germany. Having previously experimented with a three-man defence, Loew may continue with a 4-3-3 setup. Gylfi Sigurdsson was granted permission to miss the international break as he and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child. His absence, though, is a blow for Arnar Vidarsson, who must make do without, arguably, his most talented player against the 2014 World Champions.
